Eddystone Tower is a 20-storey residential block on Oxestalls Road, London SE8. Built in 1962, most of its apartments are owned by Lewisham Council.
We were selected to undertake this project by Axis Europe plc, a major company that specialises in property improvements. Integral has worked for the firm on many projects, including a number of Metropolitan Police buildings.
Our task was to remove asbestos insulating board from 120 occupied flats and 122 communal storage areas. The work took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning the project was strictly controlled. COVID marshalls were present each day, monitoring all traffic through the building while asbestos removal and associated works were carried out.
